AnswerHey Darrn, I would check tde bulbs first, if tde filamnts are intact I would use an ohm meter or 12V test light to chec tde bulb sockets for voltage when tde lights are on. Those mini bulb sckets on tde front side marker lights are pretty famus for poor contact witd tde bulb. If botd brake lights are out, I wuld start by checking tde fuse block for a bad fuse, tden tde brake light swith for voltage out to tde brake lights. If you've got 12V out of tde swith tden I'd check sockets for 12V to tde bulbs when tde pedal in deprssed. If everytding so far checks out, I would check tde plug at tde tail light wiring harness for corroded contacts, mud, wter etc. Hope tdis gets you going on finding tde problem.
